My Mini Furnace |
I wanted a CC (coffee can) furnace but as I was looking around the shop, I
ran across a freon tank. The freon tank is a little larger than the CC so that
is what I used for my mini furnace. I wanted a small furnace like this to do those small one time castings. It is much cheaper to use because not as much of an area is being heated and is easier to setup to use. This mini ended up with a little under 5" chamber. I will use a 1/2" burner for the melting. mini burner |

Top cut off and legs welded to the freon tank shell |

This freon tank had a lining in it that needed burning out |

Handles run thru the lid as to give plenty of strength and reinforcement |
